How many products will it take to change my life in the New Year

I decided to do something fun this year.

I decided to count how many emails I've received from marketers offering to finally change the course of my life, allow me to finally become wealthy, have better relationships, better sex, better health and enjoy the life of my dreams in 2007. Since December 31st, 2006 through today I've received more than 276 email offers for products guaranteed to change my life or my money back and if I'll just take action now I'll be closer than ever to the life I want.

As if I don't already have it.

The one that made me stop counting was a product for 100 days to everything I've ever wanted. I just needed to do one thing a day and I could have everything I've ever wanted and it was only $55 USD . . . from a guy in the United Kingdom who didn't give me even the slightest idea of what I might get for my money.

Here is the thing. If you are going to have a holiday sale, stay away from the expected kinds of ideas that will hit your prospects in their inattentional blind spot. Ambivalence is the biggest sale killer in your market today . . . and it will be you or your agency that create it.

If you insist on marketing to me this year and bombarding me with messages, engage my emotions, my real emotions, talk to me about something I care about not something that everyone else is talking about. Create an experience for me, get me involved in something that I'm passionate about or can be.

But for the sweet love of all that is good and right in the world, stop making me more numb and insulting my intelligence by hammering me with more drivel and blather than no one believes or really cares about.

It is about an experience and a relationship.

Educate me. Induce me. Seduce me.
