How To Sell When Nobody's Buying is by all measures a huge success. #1 Sales book on Amazon, #1 Business Book, #3 on the Movers and Shakers List. We did so well in fact that we sold Amazon out on the first day. They are having more books rushed to them to meet fill the orders though. The challenge with selling the book out is that Amazon doesn't count sales until they ship so once we sold out, the rankings game sort of ended. But that doesn't matter, what does matter is that the book continues to sell and boy is it!
There are so many people to thank but so many people, many I've never met, jumped in and gave me a hand just because they want to help others around them. That was especially true of my social networks friends on Twitter and Facebook, this launch alone should be testament enough that you must be using social media and developing relationships with influencers, if you aren't, you are losing ground. I cover a lot about this in the book and so does contributing author @MariSmith in her chapter on Marketing with Facebook and contributing author Dr. Rachna Jain whose chapter covers selling more with social media and social interactivty.
There were a bunch of highlights today, a call with Uber Marketer Eben Pagan where he interviewed me about the book for an hour. You can download that call here. And personal brand wunderkind and author of Me 2.0 Dan Schawbel interviewed me on his highly regarded personal branding blog you can read it here. Both amazing coups for day one. And, I did my first live Ustream for a book launch with Justin and Chaunna Brooke of Sitefling.com. You can watch that interview here. Also, my collaboration with MyWayInteractive.com to create The Bold Approach Leads Machine is to my knowledge the first real book concept to technology integration tool that I've seen. So, what's next? Well now, I'll be relying on all those people who helped me today and who bought the book today to read it, love it, and give it good reviews on Amazon and BN.com. And I'll count on them to help me keep the conversation going by talking about thier experiences with the book, me, and selling using the new format. I'll also be embarking on a media tour and will continue to study what has changed and is changing and report it here.
Finally, I'm starting a program in the next 30 days to impact the economically displaced in America by teaching them the fundamentals of entrepreneurial independence and powerful sales techniques. My goal is to end the rapidly growing tent cities and safe parking lots around the country by helping people learn the skills they need to be self sufficient in any economy. I'll be calling on you for your help with that as well.

Dave, There are so many great ideas in your new book - starting with your Quick Start guide with step-by-step tips right in the front of the book, all the way through the specific insights shared by the contributing experts in the appendix at the end of the book.
You offer so many wonderful and creative ideas that anyone who is serious about improving their sales results - regardless of the field they are in - will be thrilled with their progress if they simply follow the steps you've laid out for them in this book!
By using just a little of their own ingenuity to piggy-back on the ideas you've provided, they should easily be able to leave their competitors in the dust.
